Despite the challenges of teaching and learning during a pandemic, Alpha Beta students are celebrating their recent exam results.
Over 70% of their exam grades were either A or A* in IGCSE, with equally outstanding achievements in A level.
Eric Asare (Class of 2021), who has been at Alpha Beta School for 16 years, chalked a whopping 4 A* grades for his A levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and IT, all with scores in the mid-90s.
In 2019, Eric won the British Council Award for Best IGCSE student among its Partner Schools in Ghana with 9 A* grades, including 99% in Maths and 98% in Add Maths and Chemistry, respectively.
The entire community is super proud of his achievements.
Alpha Beta equally celebrates its star IGCSE student Selorm Tetteh (Class of 2023), who has been at Alpha Beta for 8 years and scored 8 A*s in his IGCSE exams.
Both students are young leaders on Alpha Beta’s Adinkrahene Leadership Program (ALP), which is a dual curriculum program that offers the Cambridge International curriculum from Form 1 to Sixth Form alongside a special Entrepreneurial Leadership program that seeks to develop creative, ethical, resilient leaders.
The ALP curriculum ensures that students receive structured opportunities to improve their soft skills, values, personal and social development to become better leaders.
Through experiential, reflective and service-learning approaches, students develop socio-emotional, critical thinking and leadership skills and Christian values, communication and self-leadership skills.Â
Students on the program have excelled both in and out of the classroom at Alpha Beta, with Eric Asare’s team becoming the national champions for Ghana in the Junior Achievement Company Program competition in 2019 and winning 3rd place in its African competition.
Alpha Beta Education Centres in Dansoman was founded by Rev. Sammy and Mrs Florence Adjepong 33 years ago, who currently serves as the Managing Director and Principal of the school, respectively.
It is an award-winning institution with a long track record of Best British Council Partner Schools awards for A level and IGCSE in 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2019.
Alpha Beta has a long history of raising successful young leaders through its international curriculum programs from pre-school to Sixth Form.
It continues to pursue excellence with an even more intentional focus through its Adinkrahene Leadership Program, which saw the graduation of its inaugural class this year.
The breadth of experience and skills shared by the inaugural ALP Class of 2021 during their virtual graduation was inspiring.
Alpha Beta remains committed to raising confident, creative, ethical and resilient leaders for Ghana and the world. Join the family today.
