The deputy Minority leader in Parliament and MP for Lawra Nandom, Ambrose Dery has lashed out at the NDC government for failing to deliver on their promises.
According to him, the action year 2011 declared by President John Mills was only a slogan with the year ending without the fulfillment of the promises made in the action year.
Mr. Dery made the statements at kokoligu in the Lawra Nandom constituency in an interaction with journalists.
He catalogued what he said were the failed promises of the NDC including, Upper West Region hospital and two universities both of which have not been done.
“Recently the Vice President was in Nadowli and sought to give an excuse for the non-execution of the project so far, attributing it to the Arab Spring and the situation in Egypt which clearly started only in 2011. That is disingenuous and outright unacceptable.
He said cutting a sod was a merely a declaration of intent and not a fulfillment of promise, adding, “campaign promise can only be made good when the universities are opened and the students are admitted to learn in the campuses.”
He said after failing to deliver on their promise, the president turned round to blame Parliament for the delay in building the two universities.
