Ghana star Andre Ayew has reportedly decided to join Italian club Roma, but on the condition that they qualify for the UEFA Champions League, influential French newspaper L'Equipe claimed on Saturday morning.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the hottest properties in Europe ahead of the summer transfer window, with interest from different clubs like Liverpool and Swansea City in England, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke in Germany as well as Inter Milan and Roma in Italy.
However the Black Stars vice captain, whose current contract with French side Olympique Marseille expires at the end of this season, wants to play Champions League football.
Inter are out of the race for a Champions League place, while off-form Roma currently occupy the third and last Champions League place in the Serie A, but face competition from Napoli who are five points behind, with a game in hand, and seven rounds of games left to play.
