Former Ghana player Anthony Baffoe says he has nothing against calls that Kwasi Appiah should be re-appointed as coach of the Black Stars.
Appiah is the hot favourite to replace Avram Grant after he decided against renewing his contract with Ghana.
The former Ghana captain was sacked after a chaotic World Cup campaign in Brazil that saw the team crash out of the group stage.
The 56-year-old made history by becoming the first indigenous coach to lead the Black Stars to World Cup but paid the ultimate price for the team’s inability to progress to the next round of the competition in Brazil.
Baffoe who played with Appiah in the Black Stars stated that he will have nothing against Appiah's re-appointment as coach of the Black Stars.
"Kwasi Appiah was my mate, somebody i like a lot , we get along very well and we all call him gentle capito," he told Joy Sports.
"What I have seen and read is that he is one of the favourites, personally I will not go against him and this is one thing I can tell you and if there is something i wasn't satisfied with i will tell him.
"There have been a lot of returns in football and many other coaches as well so we have to wait and see."
Anthony Baffoe has been the general match coordinator for the last two AFCON finals and the World Cup final in Brazil.
