A justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice E.K. Ayebi, has been assigned the Ya-Na murder case.
It follows a request by the trial judge, Justice Anthony Oppong, for the Chief Justice to transfer the case to another court.
The Attorney General had objected to judge Oppong continuing to handle the case accusing him of bias.
The AG’s department alleged he made prejudicial comments on the case at a drinking bar.
Justice Oppong vehemently denied the allegations but recused himself from the case.
According to the Judicial Service, the case will now be heard at Fast Track Court Four.
