Former Black Stars striker Kwesi Appiah has been recognized for his outstanding performances with Boreham Wood, scooping three individual awards after helping the team earn promotion to the National League.
The 34-year-old striker was instrumental in the campaign, earning him the Player's Player of the Season, Supporters' Player of the Year, and Golden Boot awards.
Appiah scored 24 goals in 35 matches, including two hat-tricks, and his impressive form has endeared him to Boreham Wood fans, who hope he'll extend his stay at the club.
Appiah expressed his gratitude, saying,"Thank you, Wood Army! What a roller coaster it's been. What an incredible ride this season, buzzing it ended in promotion. I'm grateful for the support, I've enjoyed the grind and appreciate the love."
He further stated, "I'm Honoured, humbled, and hungry," reflecting on his achievements and looking forward to the next challenge.
A former AFCON revelation, Appiah was awarded the Samsung Fair Play Award in the 2015 AFCON. He happened to be a member of the Ghanaian team, which runners to Ivory Coast as they lost on penalties.
He now sets his sights on League One promotion with Boreham Wood next season
