The General Overseer of Life International Church, Bishop Gordon Kisseh, has asked the youth to be grateful to their parents and guardians for their efforts to cater for their needs.
Recounting his beginnings, the man of God said one could earn opportunities by having a heart of gratitude.
According to him, his youthful days could be described as anything less than wealthy; however, the ability of his parents to cater for his basic needs and his relatives ensured he earned some opportunities for which he has always been appreciative.
“Growing up, there was no silver spoon in the country. So you have spoons, alright, but they weren’t silver spoons, and I saw those spoons as opportunities.
"I had opportunities from my parents because if you have parents that could provide for you, that is one of the few things we should be grateful for.
"They took care of my relatives and me, cousins and nieces, so obviously my family house was huge that had a lot of our distant relatives living together with us,” he shared in an interview on the YLeaderboard series on Y107.9 FM's 'Myd Morning Radio Show'.
Bishop Kisseih further disclosed that he could only become sociable because of how well he related with his extended families.
For him, there was little regard for name tagging as they only treated each other as brothers and sisters.
“That to me helped me to be a social person. We didn’t consider ourselves siblings and distant families, but we all considered ourselves brothers and sisters. So yes, to have parents who could take care of you could be some opportunity for you.”
