Asempa 94.7FM in partnership with Trust Consult, a chartered management accountancy and consultancy has commenced a two day business focused seminar dubbed “Nkontabuo Krakye” seminar aimed at getting SMEs operators to master their trade.
The Sales and Marketing Manager of Asempa Fm, Mcben Adu-Asamoah says the seminar has been designed to serve as a platform to educate and inspire owners and potential owners of small and medium scale enterprises (SME’s) on how to effectively manage their businesses to improve profitability.
He said the Asempa FM “Nkontabuo Krakye” seminar which began Monday, 30 August, 2010, is aimed at providing fundamental financial management concepts and tools to small scale business owners, retailers, and mid-market operators in an everyday language to enhance their understanding and practice for realistic growth and profitability.
Mr. Adu Asamoah said he hoped that at the end of the two day seminar, participants would return to their businesses to practice what they have learnt at the seminar in order to revive and sustain their businesses, and for those whose business have taken a nose-dive, engineer a turnaround.
He disclosed that, a team will be assigned to the various participants after the seminar to assist and monitor their business progress.
“Nkontabuo Krakye” is carved out of a weekly business progmramme on Asempa FM that educates SME practitioners on proper business management and record keeping.
Some of the participants who spoke with Asempa News after the first session of the programme were impressed with the business seminar and the opportunities it offers to real business insights. An elated participant even suggested that the seminar should be promoted to a business workshop school to educate SMEs on how to effectively manage their businesses.
Mr. Charles Mensah, a management partner of Trust Consult, said participants of the seminar will be given the opportunity to bring up issues pertaining to their businesses.
Some of the topical issues to be discussed included business start-ups, prospecting for loans, legal requirements, book keeping, taxation, planning and other related topics with a bearing on businesses and economic development.
