Dreams FC have confirmed they have given permission to their manager CK Akonnor to enter into talks with 2015 league champions Ashantigold.
The former Hearts and Eleven Wise coach has been identified by the Miners as the one to replace Bashir Hayford and turn around the fortunes of the club.
The former Black Stars captian has been with Dreams for three years leading them to promotion in his first attempt.
A statement released by the club read:
''Dreams Football Club wishes to inform its fans and the general public of the board's decision to grant a request from AshantiGold for the services of manager Charles K Akonnor.
''The board took this decision on Monday following discussions with officials of the Premier League side who are making a request for technical assistance.
''Charles Akonnor, a former Ghana captain will now proceed to conclude talks toward taking over the vacant coaching job with the Miners- where he made his name on the local scene as an emerging star.
''This move will be to the end of the current season.
''Dreams FC Football Club wishes to express its profound gratitude to Charles Akonnor for his loyal and valuable service to this football club.
''He will continue to occupy a special place in the history of the football club and will always be welcomed with open arms whenever he so wishes.
''The club will in due course announce changes to be made to its technical team by virtue of Akonnor's imminent departure to AshantiGold.''
If he is appointed before the week ends, his first game will be in charge against Inter Allies at the El-Wak Stadium.
