Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has ended speculation that Ashley Cole will join Real Madrid by reiterating that his left-back is not for sale.
Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in charge of the Spanish side and reports suggested he was keen to again work with the 29-year-old England defender.
However, Ancelotti said: "Ashley Cole is and will remain a Chelsea player.
"Everyone can forget the idea he will leave this club. There is no price that will make us sell."
Cole, who was signed by Mourinho from Arsenal in the summer of 2006, enjoyed a close working relationship with the Portuguese coach, who left the Blues by mutual consent in September 2007.
However, Ancelotti added: "I'm not interested in the relationship my player has with other coaches.
"We believe he is the best left-back in the world and because of that he'll stay."
Cole has played more than 150 games for Chelsea in his four seasons at Stamford Bridge.
