A group calling itself the ICT and Marketing group of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called on Alhaji Bature Iddrisu to retract and apologize for his call on a Deputy Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia to resign.
Alhaji Bature, a leading member of the NDC, alleged on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday that he had incontrovertible evidence to show the Deputy Chief of Staff colluded with the sacked Chairman of Confiscated Assets Committee Carl Wilson, to forcibly take over vehicles legitimately imported into the country.
He was worried that Mr Segbefia remains in office when Carl Wilson had been sacked.
However, in a statement issued Monday, the members of the ICT and Marketing group of the NDC said they consider as disingenuous Alhaji Bature'S attempt to link the deputy chief of staff to the alleged mess at the Confiscated Assets Committee.
“The fact that Carl Wilson was appointed by Mr Segbefia does not mean that everything that happens at the Committee, he is privy to it,” the statement said.
It added that “Mr Wilson is a matured person and should be held responsible for his alleged misconduct.”
