The Ministry of Interior has reviewed the curfew period in the Bawku Municipality and its environs to start from 6pm to 6am.The new curfew regime would take effect from Thursday November 05, 2009.A statement signed by the Minister for Information, Mrs. Zita Okaikoi explained that the relaxation of the curfew period from the previous 2pm to 6am schedule is because of the improved security situation in the area.“We also recognize that we are in the harvest season, and a more flexible situation would enable the farmers go about their crop harvests.”The statement said the security agencies are however on high alert and are monitoring the situation closely.Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
