Inspirational gospel musician Bernard Amankwah is set to outdoor two major albums at a mega concert which will open at 5pm at the National Theatre on August 7.
The concert, the second in the Experience His Power Through Worship series, will host a night of an unprecedented music and worship drawing several musical giants and worshipers to God's presence.
Musical giants billed to thrill at the August 7 concert include Danny Nettey, Cynthia of Daughters of Glorious Jesus fame, Ike Nanor, Pastor Armstrong and The Committed, his team. The night will not only be about music as Acts will also treat patrons to a drama performance.
The last of such event was in 2009 at the Sakumono International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) which saw a filled to capacity attendance. This year's concert, according to Bernard, who was speaking in an interview with Myjoyonline.com, "is a combination of all that God has put in us."
The two albums consist of a re-composition of old works and unreleased materials. The new album, Almighty, is a 7-track album of only English songs.
The second, Presence II, is a mixture of old tunes aimed at satisfying his fans craving for Twi and French language versions of his old works including Presence, The Glory Has Come and Holy. Pastor Mensah Otabil, General Overseer of ICGC, sanctioned the first album, Presence, as a perfect piece of genius.
The last time Bernard Amankwah hit the music scene with an album was in 2007, a delay he has explained was nothing intentional but due to God's timing.
"Now there is a craving for excellence. There is a new Ghanaian on board and are leaving no stone unturned; you don't know when God will call you so you just have to empty yourself and then whatever God wants the people to hear at every given time, you just bring it out...you have to move according to God's timing and I believe that this is the right timing."
He indicated that although there have been several requests and demands for regular concerts, he has been busy ministering and winning souls for Christ across the length and breadth of the country.
Due to high demands for the concerts, he has been 'forced' to make it an annual affair.
Tickets for the albums launch and concert are going for GHS20 available at Joy FM and ICGC Christ Temple.
