Ghana’s hip-life duo, Keche, paid a visit to the contestants of the Big Chef Tertiary culinary competition during one of their diary sessions.
This was after the eviction of Accra Technical University from the competition that left the the atmosphere in the kitchen tensed.
The contestants could not hide their excitement as they interacted with the dynamic music duo.
Speaking to Michelle Agyekum, host of Big Chef Tertiary and the contestants, Keche said they were glad to share personal experiences with them.
“We are here for you, so please feel free to ask us any questions and we will answer. When we share our experiences, it may equip you on better ways to work as a team in the Big Chef Competition,” they said.
Keche Joshua highlighted the importance of working and staying together as a team regardless of the curve balls life may throw at the contestants. The contestants were advised to stick together as a team and do all it takes to give off their best when they have an opportunity. He admitted that they have personally faced their fair share of challenges that almost broke them apart after venturing into the music industry as a team.

According to Keche Andrew, there had been many instances where the duo went months being at loggerheads with each other but they found ways to settle their differences so make sure their work went on.

“There are times Andrew and I go weeks without talking to each other and it affects our work. There have also been many instances where we have performed together on stage but we were at loggerheads with each other. But we always end up settling our differences because we know our selfish acts will deprive our fans from hearing good songs from us which is not fair,” he said.
“We have different personalities so it’s normal that these challenges will arise but directing your energies into the work you both love doing and focusing on the goal you want to achieve, will pull you through any hurdle or competition. That’s why you guys have to stick together during the Big Chef Competition. It always works out at the end,” they added.

The hip-life duo also encouraged the contests to stay away from negative criticism on social media because it can distract them and easily break them down as a group.
They explained to the contestants how on countless occasions their own fans have pit them against each other on social media. Sometimes they release songs and people make harsh comments online that gets to them. But the duo revealed that accepting that human beings will always have good and bad things to say and internationally staying away from those comments to focus on working hard to produce hits for Ghanaians, always keeps them relevant and successful.

“Like I said in my rap, social media pressure is mostly force. That is why you shouldn’t allow it get to you. The same people trolling you online are the same people who will ask to take pictures with you and smile with you in real life. If you like let God give you a beat, Jesus plays the instruments and angels act as your backing vocalist, there are still people who will not like it and criticize your work.
Sometimes they try to make me Andrew feel better than me and vice versa but because we are focused, it doesn’t come between us,” Joshua revealed.
Admist all the negative criticism on social media, both Andrew and Joshua believe that the brand “Keche” is bigger than them and they owe it to the fans to work hard, produce good music and stick together as a team.
The contestants expressed their gratitude to the hip-life duo for sharing the experiences and encouraging them to prioritize team work. They later tasked Keche to prepare indomie with ingredients provided them in the kitchen
They executed the task to perfection leaving the contestants impressed. They left the contestant singing and dancing to their new hit single 'Kiss'.
