The Black Queens arrived home Wednesday after their group stage elimination from the ongoing African Women’s Championships in South Africa.The Queens defeated Algeria 2-1 in their opening group B game but lost to Cameroon and reigning Champions Equatorial Guinea to suffer a second successive elimination at the group stage of the competition.Captain of the Queens, Florence Okoe apologized for the team’s poor showing at the tournament but insists they lost their last game because Equatorial Guinea featured at least three men in the women's game.Head Coach Anthony Edusei admitted that Ghana has fallen down the pecking order but believes a massive grassroots development could restore the lost pride.Agnes Aduako who scored four goals in three games for Ghana at the tournament believes she is ready for a move abroad after an impressive competition.Meanwhile, Nigeria will today take on Cameroon in the first semi-finals of the tournament while Equatorial Guinea play hosts South Africa in the other semi-final.
