The management of the Black Starlets team has lined up international friendly matches for the team after reports that their opponents Gambia have withdrawn from the qualifiers in the African Under- 17 qualifiers.
25 players have been called up by the technical team to begin camping as they await to play either South Africa or Zambia in the final qualifying round.
In an interview with JOY Sports, Winfred Osei who is the vice chairman of Black Starlets management committee noted that, they are putting measures in place to ensure the team remains competitive before their next game.
“We have put in place arrangements to make sure the boys are well prepared for the next competition”. Said Osei Palmer
"If we don’t expose these boys to international level, I can bet you they will not be up to scratch when the tournament gets closer".
The called up players are expected to report to the Black Starlets camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday 2nd August, 2012 at 3.00 pm.
