The board of directors of Ghana Commercial Bank (GBC) has confirmed the appointment of the Country Treasurer of Barclays Bank, Simon Dornoo, as the managing director designate of the bank.
This confirms Joy Business report last Friday that Mr. Dornoo was the one selected from three short-listed candidates for the job.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the board said Mr Dornoo brings to the bank a wealth of experience in banking and finance in Ghana as well as considerable international exposure.
The board is also hopeful that the MD designate has what it takes to move the bank into the future.
