If the simmering war of words between aspiring national organisers of the governing National Democratic Congress is anything to go by, then the party followers are in for an electrifying national elections in October.
Incumbent National Organiser, Yaw Boateng Gyan, has not taken kindly to comments attributed to Kofi Adams which described him as not only incompetent but ignorant of the job of a national organiser.
In an interview with Joy News, Gyan hit back in equal measure describing Adams as "inconsistent," a man who does not appear to know what he wants in politics.
He said on one hand, Adams wants to contest for this position and on another hand, he wants to contest for another.
The NDC is not ready for experiments, he noted.
Yaw Boateng Gyan indicated that the NDC is due for a crunch election in 2016 with a relatively prepared New Patriotic Party and the NDC cannot afford experimenting with inexperienced executives.
Yaw Boateng Gyan said he would love to have Kofi Adams as a member of the national executives but if he decides to contest him in the national elections, then he [Adams] has made a choice not to be part of the national executives.
"Because I will beat him at the polls", Yaw Boateng Gyan stated confidently.
But Kofi Adams is unfazed. He told Joy News, that Gyan's comments confirm his opinion that he "does not understand what politics and governance is about."
He said just as the president can switch a minister from one portfolio to another, he as an executive can decide to switch positions.
"I would not waste time and energy on Yaw Boateng Gyan," he pointed out.
The NDC is preparing for a national executive election in October this year, ahead of an even keener national presidential elections in 2016.
