The body of the murdered Nkwanta South District Chief Executive has been flown to the 37 military hospital morgue in Accra as the hunt for the perpetrators continue.
Peter Keyensu was shot dead by an unknown assailant(s) Monday night in front of his residence in the Volta Region.
Ten suspects have so far been arrested and are assisting with investigations.
The murder has left residents shocked and in grief.
A family member, named only as Prosper, told Joy News' Naa Dedei Tettey they were directed by the Bureau of National Investigations and the Regional Police Commander to bring the body to Accra.
The homicide unit of the Police department has taken charge of the case and is leading investigations.
Prosper could not understand why anybody would want to kill the DCE.
He said the wife of the deceased has been crying ceaselessly since the incident occured.
