Hearts of Oak have arrived in Benin after embarking on a road trip for Saturday’s Caf Confederation Cup tie with AS Police.
Police host the Phobians in the second leg of the preliminary round tie after a 0-1 defeat in Accra a fortnight ago.
Hearts immediately checked into their already booked hotel after close to a seven-hour journey with their team bus from Accra.
Nineteen players and five technical team members made up the first contingent of the Phobians to Cotonou. A second batch made up of basically management officials are scheduled to join the team from Accra on Friday.
Head coach Herbert Addo is confident of a qualification from his boys despite their slender first leg lead.
”We are going to AS Police. I hope that we will raise our game and go and do the do there. I know that we can win there [Cotonou]. We have the self-confidence.”
”The AS Police team we saw here [Accra] are not that strong. We are very confident of qualification,” the coach veteran said.
Saturday’s kickoff is set at 15:00 GMT.
