Shareholders of CAL Bank have rejected a resolution to remove the Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Frank Adu Jnr from office.
The resolution was sponsored by the single largest shareholder of the bank Mr. Afari Donkor.
The Shareholders also rejected a proposal to put Mr. Donkor on the Board of the bank.
A stand off between the MD, Mr. Adu Jnr. and Mr. Donkor culminated in an extraordinary general meeting to resolve the impasse.
At the Thursday meeting the two resolutions were laid before the shareholders vote on.
The votes were collated by the Electoral Commission and the results declared on Friday.
After the declaration, Mr. Donkor told Joy News that he would not challenge the decision because it had been taken by shareholders in a democratic manner.
Asked what next, he said “I remain Afari Donkor”.
