The Cape Coast Technical University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Stallion Motors Ghana Limited, to support students at the University in electronic, mechanical repairs and maintenance of automobile in the Cape Coast metropolis and beyond.
Stallion Motors, dealers in a range of vehicles such Audi, Honda, Hyundai and the rest say the partnership is to enable the university to practicalise what it teaches its students and to enable them to extend such technology of maintaining vehicles to individuals who are not even students.
At a ceremony to sign the partnership, Financial Controller of the company, Ganesh Phadale, expressed optimism that the move will make the university a perfect destination for many students and artisans who want to use technology in mechanical and electronic repairs and maintenance of vehicles.
He said the company can be located across the country but their presence is not in Cape Coast, one of the chief reasons why they have to be in the regional capital.
“We want to use this opportunity to make our presence felt here and also help actualize the dreams of the university and many well-meaning Ghanaians,” he stated.
Apart from the business model of the company, Ganesh Phadale states, “we thought about our Corporate Social Responsibility: to impart technical and practical knowledge and skill to society and that of course, includes students at a university like the Cape Coast Technical University.”
Vice Chancellor of the Cape Coast Technical University, Prof. Joshua Danso Owusu-Sekyere expressed optimism, the partnership will help the university to train their students and sharpen their skills for the job market.
“This will certainly help upgrade the skills of our students and also serve as an income generation for the university and their graduates,” he averred.
