Arsenal were embarrassed by Championship side Sheffield Wednesday as they lost 3-0 in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
Arsenal -- who made nine changes -- lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain inside five minutes through injury, with Theo Walcott coming on but the replacement lasted little longer as he went off with his own muscle injury on 18 minutes.
Ross Wallace then stunned the Gunners with a low shot to put them 1-0 ahead, before Sam Hutchinson was lucky not to receive a red card for a two-footed tackle on Alex Iwobi. Before half-time, Wednesday were 2-0 up as Wallace's cross was headed home by Lucas Joao.
Wednesday added to their lead with a close range goal from Hutchinson in the 51st minute as he got on the end of a cross from a completely unmarked Tom Lees. Arsenal could not find a way back and drop out of the competition in embarrassing fashion.

Struggling Chelsea were knocked out by Stoke despite forcing penalties with a 93rd minute goal from Loic Remy.
Ramires missed a golden early chance to put Chelsea ahead as he rounded the goalkeeper, but misplaced his effort and hit the side netting.
John Terry thought he had given the Blues the lead, but his flick was ruled out for the offside and Diego Costa went off injured with what looked like a rib injury before half-time.
However, shortly after the break, Stoke went ahead as Jonathan Walters hammered a 52nd-minute shot in off the bar. Chelsea tried to find a way back into the game and had to wait until the final minute as Remy scrambled an equalising effort over the line.
Phil Bardsley was then sent off for Stoke, but the 10 men held on to force spot kicks. After some incredible penalties, Hazard stepped up and saw his effort saved by Jack Butland as the Blues went out.

Norwich and Everton also went to penalties after finishing 1-1 at Goodison Park, as the Toffees progressed 4-3.
After a goalless first-half Sebastian Bassong helped the ball home from a cross in the 51st minute. However, Leon Osman stroked a cross home to claim and equaliser and force extra-time.
Wes Hoolahan and Nathan Redmond missed the spot kicks for Norwich.
There was controversy as Hull knocked out Leicester as Mark Schwarzer juggled an Abel Hernandez header close to his line, with the ball seemingly going over it despite the referee not giving the goal.
However, after it was 0-0 throughout the 90 minutes there were two goals in extra-time as Riyad Mahrez continued his fine form to break the deadlock, before Hernandez pounced as Schwarzer pushed a shot into his path to slot home.
That made it the third game of the night to go to penalties, which Hull won 5-4 as Mahrez missed the opening effort and David Meyler hammered in the winning spot kick.
