The Brand Ghana Office might be compelled to fold up in two months, if government does not intervene with some funding.
Managers are serving this notice saying abject financial constraints have driven the office to the point of extreme stress.
Since its inauguration sometime last year, the office has set up the relevant structures and drawn up a notable lineup of initiatives to give Ghana a unique identity.
However, the brand Ghana strategy remains in the books due to the lack of funds.
Out of 6 million Ghana cedis requested last year, it received less than half. Chief Executive Officer of the Office Mathias Akotia tells Joy Business the situation is getting out of control.
He explains that although the Office has reached out to the private sector for support, the response has been weak.
Mr. Akotia says staff of the Brand Ghana Office might desert their post if funds are not released soon.
