The CCTV footage capturing the moment South African rapper AKA was shot by an unidentified person is circulating on social media.
Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was shot just before 10 pm (South African time) while standing outside the Wish Restaurant in Durban on Friday.
The deceased was seen interacting with some friends in a busy street and the unknown person walked up to him and shot him in the head.
The suspect, then took to his heels.
Reports by South African media indicates that another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard, sustained wounds in the shooting.
Another unidentified person, who is understood to be a close friend of AKA, has also been shot dead.
