The Chief of Banda Boase in the Banda District of the Bono Region, Odeifor Dua Batabor Ligbi Wullitei II, has expressed worry about the politicisation of every issue, including matters of national development across the country.
He said the country has been blessed with the needed human resources whose expertise and financial strength could help improve governance, sustainability and accelerated development.
He called for a united front to help tackle the myriad of challenges confronting the nation for the betterment of all instead of taking entrenched positions on such issues.
Odeifor Dua Batabor Ligbi Wullitei II was speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate a new market with 36 market sheds at Banda Boase.

The Chief, elders and the people of Banda Boase in the Banda District of the Bono Region constructed the 36 market sheds to help boost the economic activities of the community.
The market, constructed through a self-help project by the Chief, elders and the people of Banda Boase, is also intended to provide a serene environment for business activities in the community.
According to Odeifor Wullitei, the new market will enable members of his community, especially women, to undertake their day-to-day trading activities to improve their livelihoods.
He explained that the importance of a market in a community cannot be overemphasised, considering the significant role it plays in the local economy of community members, especially women.
“Majority of our people here are farmers, and our women are traders who travel to Techiman, Wenchi, Nsawkaw, and Seikwa market centres to trade, so this new market we have constructed will bring a huge sigh of relief to them because their business partners will now come and purchase their products here,” Odeifor Wullitei stated.
He encouraged market women and people who will use the facility to be cautious about taking good care of it.

“I am pleading with all of you market women and those other people coming to market to help us maintain the place so that our sweat and investment will not be in vain," the Chief of Banda Boase appealed.
He commended the youth and people of Banda Boase for their resilience in contributing towards the project.
“This is the more reason I appeal to everyone here to desist from politicising everything in our communities, including this kind of self-help development project.
It is a dangerous path we are creating for ourselves today and for the future generations,” he lamented.
In an interview with JoyNews, the President of Banda Boase Youth, Sampson Densu, announced that the project, valued at GH¢ 55,000, was funded by the community youth with the support of the Chief and elders.
He explained that the community achieved the goal of constructing the 36 market sheds, devoid of political differences.

“When it comes to the development of our community, we don't play party politics with it here, and that is why the youth of Banda Boase came together to support the Chief and elders for a successful construction of this market,” Mr Densu reiterated.
He urged Ghanaians to emulate the people of Banda Boase by putting party politics aside and work together to develop their communities.
The Banda Traditional Council, through the personal secretary to the Paramount Chief of Banda Traditional Area, James Anane, applauded the Chief, elders, and the people of Banda Boase for the initiative.
Mr Anane stressed that the market will help boost the local economy of the people, adding that "this market will benefit especially women in Banda Boase and beyond.
He encouraged traders who would be taking over the place to help by taking good care of the place and clearing garbage every day to keep the market neat at all times.
