Ahead of the 2011-2012 Ghana Premier League season planned to commence in October, the 3 promoted clubs – Tema Youth, Wassaman and Bechem United and the 13 old guards have intensified preparations.Liberty Professionals open pre-season training on the first day of September.Liberty is not known for signing big name players so will promote youth players who are ready for premier league action to the first team.Assistant Coach Felix Aboagye told Joy Sports that club President Alhaji Sly Tetteh plans on signing few strikers to beef up the team’s attacking options ahead of next season.Ebusua Dwarfs, which finished in 9th place last season, has also signed two midfielders, Richard Ocran and Razak Haruna from Berekum Arsenal.Speaking to Joy Sports' Daniel Oduro, Dwarfs Coach, Professor Joseph Mintah said “these are young talented players who have joined us. They are going to beef up those that we have already, so I think we are going to be a better force in the coming season.”Dwarfs will open their pre-season with a friendly match against the national under-23 team, the Black Meteors Wednesday at the El- WAK stadium.Berekum Arsenal will begin next season without their top striker Nana Poku who has signed for rivals Berekum Chelsea.Arsenal struggled to survive last season after winning their penultimate match and even without their best player the club is planning to put up an improved performance next term.
