The Ministry of Communications has issued a rejoinder in response to a story published on Myjoyonline which inaccurately reported that it made some expenditures in 2017 without parliamentary approval.
The story, which was based on the 2018 Auditor General’s Report, should rather have stated that the Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan ICT Centre, an agency under the ministry had spent ¢2 million cedis from its Internally Generated Funds.
The inadvertent error has since been corrected.
The full text of the ministry’s rejoinder is published below.
Myjoyonline unreservedly apologises to the Ministry for any inconvenience caused.
