The Communications Minister Haruna Iddrissu says he is meeting with workers of Vodafone over their protest on Wednesday.
The minister, together with his colleague from the Employment Ministry, has been urging the workers and management of the telecoms company to negotiate the compulsory redundancy programme amicably.
However, the workers on Wednesday, vowed to be confrontational accusing management of not following due process, an action the Communications Minister has been unhappy about.
Mr Iddrissu described the action of the workers as uncivil and urged them to exercise restraint as negotiations are on-going.
Meanwhile Management of Vodafone says it will go ahead with its compulsory redundancy program despite the opposition by the union.

“The process will continue; that is the only way you can rescue the business…it’s either that or a total collapse. We all have to understand the situation,” he said.
