Residents of Nkoranza North in the Brong Ahafo Region are asking Parliament to take a decision on their incarcerated Member of Parliament.
The MP, Eric Amoateng is being held in the US on drug charges after he was arrested in November 2005, with another Ghanaian Nii Okine Adjei for allegedly possessing cocaine with the street value of $6 million.
The constituents are asking Parliament to give them an indication of how much longer they have to wait for the final determination of the narcotic case involving their representative before they get represented.
According to Joy News correspondents visiting the constituency, the people want the seat declared vacant if the case would travel beyond the term of this current Parliament.
