NDC Communications Team member, Dela Edem, has said that a perceived corrupt person in the ruling party will be celebrated as an “Archbishop in the NPP”.
He asserted that members of the opposition party have no moral right to speak on corruption, alleging many functionaries of the erstwhile Kufour administration enriched themselves with the tax payers’ money.
Mr. Edem said the NDC administration then led by late President Mills, and now President Mahama, has shown more commitment in fighting corruption than the NPP.
He described NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo’s continued claim of being incorruptible as a “political gimmick” to win votes.
Mr. Edem was speaking to Kofi Asante on Nhyira FM’s Kukurantumi political programme in Kumasi.
NPP Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East, Henrich David Yeboah, who was also on the programme, rejected Edem’s claims.
Mr. Yeboah insisted that the NDC administration had mismanaged the national economy in the last three years, worse than any other party in Ghana.
