A Ho Circuit Court on Wednesday declined to hear a case involving two Junior High School boys, both aged 15, who allegedly defiled a 16 year-old class five pupil.
The presiding judge, Mr Emmanuel Siammeh, held that the court could not try the case and referred it to a juvenile court.
He subsequently granted the boys bail in the sum of GH¢2,000 each with a surety to appear before the juvenile court on March 26, this year.
According to the Ghana News Agency, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Peter Glabu said the two boys lived in the same community with the girl.
On March 14, this year during a wake-keeping in the town, the boys allegedly lured the girl into a room and defiled her in turns, he explained.
ASP Glabu said a relative of the girl chanced on them during the act.
He said the girl bled profusely and was taken to the hospital while the boys were handed over to the Police.Source: GNA
