The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is inviting all Nkrumaist and the general public to a wreath laying ceremony on Monday April 27, to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the death of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president.
The solemn ceremony comes off at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in Accra at 4.00pm prompt.A statement signed by Kosi Dedey, Chairman of the Publicity Committee of the party, said the wreath laying ceremony is the first in a series of events being put together by the party’s anniversary committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Kojo Armah to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding (12th June 1949) of the Convention People’s Party and the 100th anniversary of the birth (21st September 1909) of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah which events coincide this year.
