Nigeriafilms.com is reporting that Nigerian entertainment personalities, Dapo Oyebanji known in showbiz as Dbanj and his girlfriend actress Genevieve Nnaji have gone their separate ways. The site is reporting that the two had a quarrel with Genevieve complaining bitterly about growing controversies around the two and their relationship. According to the site, close friends claim that the actress told them that the phenomenon has started 'taking away points' from her career. The story said "in order not to end up as just one of the rungs on the ladder of Dbanj’s success she, Genevieve, has decided to call it quits with the arrangement that netted her two million Naira as appearance fee in the Dbanj's musical Fall in Love video." Investigations conducted by the site revealed that though the video shoot served as publicity gimmick for the celebrated romance between the two - an affair did transpired at the long run. Insiders however insisted that the relationship was a fling, Genevieve aimed at keeping the relationship on the quiet while the Mo’HIT crew preferred to leverage on it to boost Dbanj’s image as a ladies’ man and the sale of his album, Entertainer. But when the talks of 'pregnancy and abortion' for the musician by the actress started making rounds which was heavily feasted on by the 'hungry' media, the actress was forced to pull out of the arrangement – with her earnings still intact. It is reported that Genevieve's management convinced her that the image of an 'irresponsible public figure' that would result from the development would make nonsense of whatever credits she has to her name within weeks - hence advising her to end the relationship.
