Interim Black Stars coach Akwesi Appiah is expected to train with the full complement of his squad this morning ahead of this weekend’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
Quartet Anthony Annan, Hans Adu-Sarpei, Lee Addy and Richard Kingson are due to train with the team for the first time after missing yesterday’s double session.
Andre Ayew and Jonathan Mensah were the latest to train with the team in yesterday’s second work-out in the evening at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
The duo replaced John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan who missed the evening session after training in the morning.
Akwasi Appiah explained that he granted the two players permission to take a rest.
Sources close to Joy Sports indicate that the Black Stars will be paid the remainder of their World Cup appearance fees and bonuses today.
Each player is owed unpaid bonuses up to the tune of 65,000 dollars after reaching the last eight of the tournament in South Africa.
Despite the delay in the payment of the bonuses, lead striker Asamoah Gyan is rallying his team mates to go into the match with 100 percent commitment.
The Sunderland striker wants to replicate his recent scoring form.
