Accra is set to experience the power of God as it hosts this year’s Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK).
The five-day non-denominational evangelistic outreach is under the auspices of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Dr. William F. Kumuyi.
The event is on the theme: Glorious visitation from Christ will be held from April 20 to 25 at the Independence Square in Accra.
The crusade is to win and save souls for the Kingdom of God, strengthen the faith of steadfast believers, and prepare them for the second advent of Christ.
Some other activities include ministers and professional conference, impact academy for the youth and many others.
Speaking at the launch, the National Overseer, Deeper Christian Life Ministry Ghana, Pastor Edward Duodu said the crusade is to energise the body of Christ in Ghana.
He indicated that, it will also be a vehicle to actualise the vision of reaching the world with the gospel of salvation through the power of technology.
“Telling the truth today and standing by it, makes you strange to many, being honest draws curious stares, and hating compromise is an attitude so many consider an affront to modern civilization. The crusade will reach out to many, trusting God for a harvest of souls as the call to salvation is made,” he said.
Pastor Duodu said the focus of Dr. Kumuyi will be winning souls with a programme dubbed: Lunch Time with Jesus” which will engage new converts and mentor them to find their feet in the faith.
For his part, the Presiding Bishop of Methodist Church Ghana, Most Reverend Dr. Paul K.Boafo said the Global Crusade with Kumuyi is very timely.
Given the socio-economic conditions in the country, he believes such revival will turn things around.
Rev. Dr. Paul Boafo called on Christian leadership to put their doctrines aside and support Deeper Life to win more souls for Christ.
“This is a call on Ghana and all Christians to join hands in presenting the One who has solutions to our challenges as a nation,” he added.
Present at the launch were renowned men and women of God including, the founder of the Salt and Light Ministries, Rev Dr. Joyce Aryee, Bishop James K. Saah, President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam.
The others are Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso, Rev Godwin Dela Fiagome, President of Full Gospel Church International, representatives from Presbyterian, Global Evangelical Church and many others.
