Lawyers for the 15 persons on trial for the murder of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Yakubu Andani II and others have filed a submission of No Case against the Prosecution.
The Defense Lawyers led by Philip Addison filed the submission of No Case on 25th January, 2011 praying the Court to strike out the case.
The Judge, Justice E.K. Ayebi gave the prosecution time to go study the defense's submission because the court had earlier asked the defense to make their case on 10th January, 2011 but they delayed for 15 days.
Justice E.K. Ayebi therefore gave the prosecution up till 21st February, 2011 to file its response.
The case is adjourned to 24th February, 2011 when both parties will be heard by the Court.
In other news, the case of Amina Mohammed has been adjourned to 1st March, 2011 because the trial Judge, Mrs. Patience Mills Tetteh is on leave.
