Coach Opeele Boateng has sent a word of caution to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) asking them not to hand over the Black Stars management job to Marcel Desailly as it will spell doom for the various national teams.Opeele Boateng whose stint with Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended abruptly as a result of the teams mediocre performances, stressed that as far as coaching goes, “Marcel Desailly is not the right man for the job.”Opeele who waxed lyrical about his rich knowledge and expertise in football told Moses Antwi Benefo, host of Matters Arising on Asempa FM Tuesday that, the GFA will be taking a great risk if they employ the former French Captain to take over the reigns of the Black Stars.Opeele Boateng who has received his fair share of public criticism, expressed his dismay at reports linking the World Cup winning player to the top job of the Black Stars, saying “the Black Stars job is serious business and we cannot pick coaches just for the fun of it.”He reminded authorities about the tall list of football legends who have failed terribly at their attempts in coaching. He advised government to steer clear off the decision in selecting a replacement for Milovan Rajevac.Opeele Boateng who has also coached local clubs like Mighty Jets said his most difficult experience as a coach was with King Faisal where he had to constantly live with pessimism from supporters and some executives of the club.Story by: Derick Romeo Adogla/myjoyonline.com/Ghana
