The Women’s wing of the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD), in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Centre of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) is organizing a breast cancer screening exercise for its member in Ashanti Region in Kumasi on Saturday November 24.
The exercise is aimed at reducing breast cancer among the disabled following the death of one of its members from breast cancer in March this year.
A release signed by Miss Wilhemina Aggrey, Secretary of the Association and issued to newsmen in Kumasi expressed appreciation to Dr. Baffour Awuah and his team for accepting to do the screening free of charge.
It said women from other disability Associations and organizations such as the Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) and the Ghana Association of the Blind (GAB) could take advantage of the exercise to improve on their health status.
