Ghana’s youngest Disk Jockey, DJ Switch has made it unto a billboard in Times Square, New York.
The young DJ was in New York where she shared a stage with Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean, at the “Room To Read” New York Gala.
The gala is aimed at raising funds to transform the lives of millions of children by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.
She took to Instagram to share a picture of herself pointing to the Billboard with the caption, “About last night... Check out my performance at @roomtoread #RtREndofImpossibleNew York Gala! #imageOnTimeSquareBillBoard NYC. Honoured to share the stage with @wyclefjean.”
Actor James Gardiner congratulated her for her success, “Go girlllll!! I’m soo proud of you!! ðŸ‘ðŸ¾.”
Before this, she was in New York for GoalKeepers 2018 a foundation started by Bill and Melinda Gates that brings together leaders from around the world to accelerate progress toward ending poverty and fighting inequality. DJ Switch, winner of Talented Kidz Season 8, was the youngest speaker and entertainer, sharing the space with award-winning singer, songwriter Ed Sheeran, Fatoumata Diawara, Nancy Kacungira, and a host of other speakers from around the world who shared their stories of challenges, innovation, and leadership.
