Four persons have donated an amount of GH₵6,320.00 for the family of six who suffered severe burns after a gas explosion in their house at Nungua Zongo, Accra.
One person died with the remaining five currently receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The incident happened late last week, Joy News reported.
Doctors have appealed for public support because the cost of treatment is expensive and the rest of the fire victims could die if help doesn’t come soon.
The victims need an estimated amount of GH₵750 to GH₵1,500 per week for the treatment of their burns.
One of the donors who also doubles as Director of Freight Consult ,a freight forwarding firm, Abdullah Issakar Pangasu confirmed donating GH₵6,000 to the fire victims at Korle-Bu.
According to him, he was touched when he heard the story on Joy FM and decided to donate his monthly salary for a worthy cause.
Other donors include a lady from Snippet salon who donated GH₵100 with another lady donating GH₵20.
Dema Naa Mohammed Abdullah, a chief also donated GH₵200.
