The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, deliver the 2012 Ferdinand Ofori Ayim Memorial Lectures on the topic “The State of the Economy”.
The lecture will take place at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Independence Avenue, Accra.
Dr. Bawumia, just like other renowned speakers before him, will continue the rich tradition of this public lecture series, dedicated to the memory of Ferdinand Ayim, who died in the line of public service in 2006.
A statement issued on Tuesday by Gabby Otchere-Darko, Trustee of the Foundation said, Dr. Bawumia will provide expert and detailed analysis of the current state of Ghana’s economy and will provide insights into the economic issues that continue to confront our society.
His topic will also seek to underscore the importance of a vibrant economy to the wealth creation agenda of a nation.
This event will bring together members from civil society, political party leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, the business community, academia and the general public.
