Dr Cryme, one of Ghana's heavyweights in the music industry will on Saturday 17th September rock the National Theatre when he performs at this year's Club Miss Tourism Ghana 2011.
Dr Cryme known officially as Darlington Adjekum is a Poet, Inventor, presenter, singer and a rapper. Patrons of this year's pageant which promises to be one of the best will surely enjoy some of his singles hits such as 'Wene Woa' and 'Kill Me Shy'.
Dr Cryme on Wednesday paid a surprise visit to the ten contests who are currently camped and undergoing grooming at the plush Crown Apartamento Hotel near airport in Accra. He took the opportunity to wish them luck and promised to put up a great show come Saturday.
The contestants who were excited to meet the young Twi pop giant promised to make this year's event a success.
So far the contestants have paid courtesy calls on the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Akua Sena Dansua and other partners and stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Other activities such as the Beachwear Competition and the Regional Festival of Food and Fashion have also been organized leading to the main pageant.
The winner of the pageant becomes the Tourism Ambassador for Ghana and will perform some charity work locally in addition to showcasing the nation’s tourism potential internationally.
After the competition, contestants will get the opportunity to have a photo shoot on the 18th of September with the winner.
Accra Brewery Limited, as the title sponsor, is leaving no stone unturned to make the event highly recognized, just as DaViva, the fabric sponsor, promises the audience a never to be forgotten Fashion Show on Saturday..

The support from the Ministry of Tourism has grown over the years as the event organizers work assiduously to cement the relationship. The Ghana Tourist Board, the Ghana Tourist Development Company Limited, and the Ghana Tourism Federation have all assisted to strengthen the three-year old pageant. CNJ Consult, Emefa Jewelry, Metropolitan Insurance, Darling Hair, Adom FM and many others have all supported the event in diverse ways.
