A driver of an articulated truck carrying canned alcoholic drinks has saved hundreds of lives and properties near the Tuobodom-Tanoboase tollbooth in the Bono East region.

The truck, carrying goods from Tema to Burkina Faso, experienced brake failure about 200 meters from the tollbooth.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Adom News, the driver, upon realizing the brakes had failed, decided to veer off the road to avoid colliding with vehicles and traders near the tollbooth.

Fear-stricken residents commended the driver for saving their lives.
They rushed to the scene to help the security personnel and the supplier to clear the goods off the road.

The owner of the goods, Ahmed Tijani, who was thankful no lives were lost said he is yet to count his losses.
