The Electoral Commission will start registering new voters throughout the country.
During the exercise which begins this week-end, officials of the EC will also replace lost ID cards.
The Commission is hoping to cover two million applicants during the ten day exercise.
Public affairs director of the commission, Christian Owusu-Parry says adequate arrangements have been made for the exercise.
He told Joy News sufficient logistics have been made available to ensure that the exercise goes on smoothly.
With the opportunity provided for people to replace their lost ID cards, Mr. Owusu-Parry believes the over-subscription experienced some two years ago during a similar exercise will not recur.
