Former Deputy Commissioner in-charge-of Operations at the Electoral Commission (EC), Amadu Sulley, has been directed in a letter dated August 14, 2018, to return two vehicles allegedly in his possession to the Commission.
“The vehicles in question are Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with registration number GN 2147-13 and Audi A6 Saloon car with registration number GX 863 -15,” a letter signed by Christian Owusu-Parry, Director of Administration for the EC Chairperson stated.
Not long ago, former Chairperson of the EC, Charlotte Osei, denied media reports she was keeping a government vehicle despite exiting office.
Mrs Osei in a letter dated August 7, 2018, and sighted by Myjoyonline.com Tuesday said she had "returned all vehicles and other assets belonging to the Commission".
The letter was written to the Director of Administration at the Commission and requested a confirmation in writing about assets she has returned and any other to be returned.
A publication by newspaper Daily Guide had claimed that the former EC Boss was keeping a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 insisting it was a donation from former President John Mahama.
Mr Amadu, Mrs Osei and Georgina Amankwah, also a Deputy EC Commissioner, were removed from office after an investigative report found them guilty of breaches of procurement regulations and other stated misbehaviour.
