National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency chairman for Ekumfi in the Central region, Ekow Essilfie Buckman has been suspended indefinitely for disrespecting party members.
The suspension is based on Article 40 clause 1 of the NDC constitution, according to the Deputy Communication Officer for Ekumfi, Raymond Armah Mall.
He explained that during a meeting between the chairman and some polling station executives in the constituency, Mr Buckman said he cannot work with ‘uneducated people’ in the constituency.
This comment according to Raymond Armah Mall, infuriated party members in the constituency who called for his immediate removal.
He said the party members in the constituency are very angry at Mr Buckman's outburst.
Raymond Armah Mall said the constituency has no other option than to suspend him and forward the matter to the disciplinary committee for further action.
