The United front party has successfully endorsed its new flag bearer, Kwaku Owusu Antwi at special delegates’ congress at Cape Coast in the central region.
Confusion rocked the planned national delegates’ congress following an earlier decision by the central regional Police command, not to allow them to go ahead with the programme.
The police claimed the UFP did not have the permit to hold the event.
The party last month sacked its presidential candidate Kwasi Addae for alleged corrupt practices and scheduled today’s congress at the Cape Coast GNAT hall to endorse the candidature of one Kwaku Owusu Antwi for the position.
National chairman of the UFP Nana Agyenim Boateng said they will defile the order because they had duly notified the Police of the congress.
However the settled their differences with the police and the congress proceeded.
