Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is failing to turnaround Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli as the team slumped to its seventh defeat of the season in 3-2 reverse at Al Faisaly on Saturday.
The Serb joined the Jeddah-based side last month but has not been able to weave the magic which propelled Ghana to the final of this year’s African Nations Cup and a quarter-final berth at the World Cup.
Rajevac’s side, Al Ahli, opened the scoring after 24 minutes through Brazilian striker Victor Simoes before Al Faisaly’s Senegalese striker Papa Diop levelled the scores on 37 minutes.
Omar Abdulaziz gave Al Faisaly the lead eight minutes after the break before Al Ahli’s Brazilian striker Marcinho Rocha da Silva levelled the scores for his side on 70 minutes.
Al Faisaly’s Albanian striker Migen Memelli scored the winning goal with only nine minutes remaining.
Al Ahli are currently above the relegation zone and the 56-year-old is under-pressure to improve their fortunes in the Premier League.
