Some market women and taxi drivers in Accra have stopped accepting the 20 and 50 Ghana cedis denominations for payment of goods and services.
They complained that there are too many counterfeits of the denominations in circulation.
Meanwhile, sources at the Bank of Ghana tell Joy News they are aware there are some fake denominations in circulation.
They are therefore asking Ghanaians be aware of the security features on the currency to avoid being duped.
